Fragments No. 1

In 2021, the Official Association of Architects of La Rioja (COAR) proposed a graphic renovation of its periodical publication, intended to serve as a window for debate and conversation on architecture through a new format, masthead, and content.

To reflect this new stage of the magazine, we developed an editorial proposal that allows for the coexistence of historical themes with current affairs.

The magazine design, through the interplay of contrasting typefaces, places classical elements within contemporary compositions, creating rhythms that harmoniously combine tradition and modernity. The column structure suggests an architectural grid, softened by the use of white space and imagery.

The covers are conceived as an annual cycle of four issues, four fragments, which together provide an overall view of what took place throughout the year by bringing all the pieces together.
